Leonardo DiCaprio may have waited 23 years for his Oscar, but Penn’s new Opia Film Club is impatient to begin its filming and events.

The Penn Museum has begun to make some history of its own by playing host to the most special day in the lives of numerous couples: their wedding day.

Last week, administrators announced the University would be increasing the total cost of attendance by 3.9 percent, from $63,526 to $66,000 for the 2016-17 academic year.

Nearly 400 musicians from 64 countries signed up to participate in a 48-hour international music production competition operated by Engineering graduate student Nicholas Yiu called Mixathon48.

The theme of the conference is “The Future of Community Safety and LGBTQ Pennsylvania,” and many of the conference’s speakers and workshops will focus on ending violence against LGBTQ people, and in particular, transgender women of color.

Led by a neon orange Jeep blasting “Burn, Baby, Burn," the approximately 1,000-person crowd effectively stopped traffic in parts of Center City.

Last weekend, the student group Penn First returned to the conference that sparked its formation.

Frederick “Fritz” Steiner, who was recently hired as the new dean of the School of Design, is coming to Penn in part to avoid Texas’s new campus-carry law.

The saying “It costs money to make money” even applies to internships.

Best known as the lead voice on Bob’s Burgers and Archer, Benjamin is set to speak at Penn on March 22 at 8 p.m. at the Harrison Auditorium.

The trip joins a larger Wharton program known as the Wharton Industry Exploration Program, which offers a select group of sophomores and juniors from all four undergraduate schools the opportunity to travel to a place known for expertise in a specific industry or field.

The Supreme Court Clinic is representing several Mercedez-Benz dealership workers arguing for overtime. 

The project will cost $7.2 million and renovate a vacant lot at 4050 Haverford Avenue.

Although Bernie Sanders constantly cites other developed countries that have implemented the sort of policies he advocates for, Penn experts are not so sure about their viability. 

On Feb. 26 and 27, over 50 students will perform in an annual production of The Vagina Monologues, put on by the V-Day University of Pennsylvania College Campaign.

The total cost of attendance increased from $63,526 to $66,000 for the upcoming academic year. Concurrently, Penn’s student financial aid budget also increased 3.9 percent, from $208 million to $214 million.

Steiner’s new position is effective July 1, President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price announced.
