Penn has updated the Student FAQ section on the University Coronavirus website, stating that the University cannot predict what will happen in the fall but is planning for every possibility amid the pandemic.

Penn students on dining plans will now receive refunds for their remaining spring semester meal plan balance, and departed College House residents will receive pro-rated reimbursements in May on their student billing accounts.

Provost Wendell Pritchett announced the change and the suspension of the 2019-2020 Dean's List in a Thursday afternoon email to Penn undergraduates.

Some professors say they do not use the tracking feature to take graded attendance but rather to check in on students who are not regularly viewing the lectures. 

Currently, Penn allows students to change their courses to pass/fail grading until April 13, the earliest opt-in pass/fail deadline in the Ivy League by more than two weeks.
