The Daily Pennsylvanian Editorial Board urges Penn students to connect broadly with Philadelphia as the United States celebrates its 250th birthday.

The initiative grew out of Penn’s Climate and Sustainability Action Plan to be 100% carbon-neutral by 2042. 

“Public Health Impact Hub” will focus on building skills for public health professionals, reducing professional development barriers, and delivering customizable support.

All Penn faculty and staff — including student workers and postdoctoral students — will be required to complete the training.

"Her Place," which first opened as a pop-up in June 2021, is Philadelphia’s first restaurant to receive a Michelin star.

The three volumes — titled “The Greater Philadelphia Region,” “Greater Philadelphia and the Nation,” and “Greater Philadelphia and the World" — cover subjects from the American Revolution and abolition to urban development, immigration, and cultural life. 

"Unfettered” chronicles Fetterman’s political career and lifelong struggles with mental health, including his six-week stay in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for clinical depression in 2023.

A spreadsheet accompanying the memo evaluated universities on a four-point scale, with red-marked universities showing “clear DEI hiring policy” and green universities — including Penn — demonstrating “merit-based hiring with no evidence of DEI.”

A University official clarified that while five individual storefronts may be empty, “there are no vacant Penn-owned buildings at this time.”
