The University scratches its plans to conduct a hybrid fall semester that guaranteed on-campus housing for first years, sophomores, and transfer students in the College House system, according to The Fall Semester Planning FAQ.

Penn will invite students back to campus on Sept. 1 for a hybrid fall 2020 semester with a mixture of in-person and virtual instruction. The remainder of the semester will be conducted online after Thanksgiving break.

Provost Wendell Pritchett announced the change and the suspension of the 2019-2020 Dean's List in a Thursday afternoon email to Penn undergraduates.
