After public uproar over its decision to stop funding Planned Parenthood, Susan G. Komen for the Cure decided to continue funding existing grants last Friday. The organization made no promise to fund them with future grants.

While the Common Application does not include a check box for applicants to indicate their sexual orientation, many students may choose to self-identify as LGBT through their essays and other written material.
