This past weekend, ten Penn students took the stage in Arch Auditorium to perform original monologues as part of Penn Monologues’ eighth annual production.

“At the end of the day, we need to balance the safety of our pedestrians and the environmental impact of what we do,” Penn Executive Director of Operations and Maintenance Faramarz Vakilizadeh said.

Vice President Joe Biden will speak at Cornell University’s Convocation this May, according to the Cornell Daily Sun.

Biden was chosen to speak by a committee of senior class marshals that has selected the Class Day speaker since 1968.

Vice President Maureen Rush recalled that she was originally skeptical of hiring Fischer since he had never served on patrol for the Philadelphia Police, but Fischer proved his commitment. 

“If we think about our lives without music or movies or art or literature in any way, what kind of a hit will our well-being take? We don’t have way yet to quantify that," religious studies professor James Pawelski said. 

“I, for one, don’t want to have to deal with parties at my house,” McCann said. “But it also places us in an uncomfortable position where we have to rely on boys for parties and alcohol and that can definitely create an uncomfortable power dynamic.”

In the press release, Legend said he was “thrilled” to work with Penn on “critical issues” that the US criminal justice system faces.

“I went over to the physics table, and I’m not even interested in physics,” Class of 2021 admit Neelu Paleti said. “But seeing their enthusiasm really made me want to do something in that field.”
