University administrators announced that all students need to be tested for COVID-19 48 hours prior to arriving on campus and receive a gateway test upon arrival. 

“Lia Thomas has met or exceeded all NCAA protocols over the past two years for a transgender female student-athlete to compete for a women’s team. She will continue to represent the Penn women’s swimming team in competition this season," Penn Athletics wrote on Thursday.

An online petition calling on Penn to suspend Wax and reform the University's tenure policy has been signed by over 800 people.

On-campus housing move-in, which was previously scheduled to begin on Jan. 8, will begin on Jan. 15 and in-person classes will resume on Jan. 24. 

All eligible students, faculty, postdoctoral students, and staff must receive the booster shot by Jan. 31.

The location will be renovated into a mixed-use office building, according to Executive Director of Real Estate Ed Datz.

Penn released its early admissions decisions for the Class of 2026 on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.

Cancellations include a Dec. 18 graduation ceremony, athletic competitions, the closure of campus libraries and fitness centers, and transition of final exams to an online format.

Finals scheduled through Dec. 17 will continue in person, while finals during the week of Dec. 20 will be online.
