The Ivy League's track and field season came to a close on Sunday, and the women of Penn finished with their best performance in 11 years.

Mad Mex joins a long list of stores in University City that have been closed due to health violations. Chipotle briefly closed down earlier this year, while Capogiro, Bobby's Burger Palace and Harvest were also ordered to cease operations last year by the Department of Public Health.

Heartbreak for Penn men’s lacrosse. Despite playing one of their best all-around games of the season, the Quakers (7-6, 3-3 Ivy) fell at the hands of the top-seeded Yale Bulldogs in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals, 13-12, after a tournament-record four overtimes.

It’d been sixteen days since Penn women’s lacrosse topped Princeton in an emotional, physical affair, leading from start to finish and giving their bitter rivals their first — and ultimately only — Ivy League loss of the year. In the teams’ first meeting since then, the Tigers made sure revenge would be sweet.

Hundreds of students, parents and alumni participated Penn’s annual Yardfest — a strolling competition where different Greek organizations perform synchronized dance routines in a single-file line. The event kicked off the Intercultural Greek Council’s Penn Relays weekend of activities.

Andrew Binns, a biology professor, will remain the interim dean until New Student Orientation.

In last Wednesday’s paper Calvary Rogers argued in favor of increasing soft censorship in America and at Penn.

The project aims to house inpatient care for heart and vascular medicine and surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, the Abramson Cancer Center and a new emergency department. This is Philadelphia's most "ambitious health care building project," Penn Medicine said in a statement.

Academically Based Community Service courses allow students and faculty to partner with West Philadelphia schools and community organizations. During the 2016-17 academic year, 70 ABCS courses were offered across eight schools and 31 departments, by 63 faculty and staff members.

A University spokesperson said Otte enrolled in Penn's Genomics and Computational Biology graduate group in September 2011, but left the program without a degree in October of 2014. 

The winning group was Twine, a human resources software company that helps employers save money by retaining their top employees. The group, who beat over a hundred other participants, won a $30,000 grand prize.

From award-winning primotologist Jane Goodall to former Vice President and future Penn professor Joe Biden, Penn hosted a range of notable speakers this year. 

Another year of Penn Relays is now history. And while Penn track and field may not have repeated the same success of 2016, which saw the team win its first Relay since 1974, the Quakers still made a number of finals appearances, and broke some records, too.

At this point, there’s only one word for Penn women’s lacrosse: dynasty.

So it all comes down to this. Needing one win in two home games against second-place Columbia to clinch its first Ivy League Lou Gehrig Division title since 2007, Penn baseball failed to close out on Saturday afternoon, taking a pair of losses by scores of 14-4 and 7-5 to fall into a tie with the Lions.

Many expected Torgersen to be drafted, at least in the last round on Saturday, but the senior quarterback had to watch on as all 253 picks were revealed without his name in them. He was ranked by ESPN as the 10th best quarterback prospect — 10 quarterbacks were drafted, including those ranked one through nine, and number 11.
