Tennis balls, hockey and the Ivy League: All of that is a match made in heaven, right? Dartmouth Athletic Director Harry Sheehy asked the student body not to throw tennis balls onto the ice during the Big Green's playoff series against Princeton this past week. Since 1998, there has been a tradition of throwing tennis balls onto the ice at Dartmouth when the Big Green faces Princeton after the Tigers give up their first goal.

With news organizations like the New York TImes downsizing and making budget cuts, it was only a matter of a time before journalism schools followed suit. Columbia is set to shrink its journalism school, which is the only Ivy League graduate journalism school.

U.S News and World did more than just name the top law schools in the country: It named the top graduate schools in the country. While Penn Law ranked seventh in the country, Penn Nursing was named the top graduate nursing school in the country while Wharton ranked third among business schools.

UMass Amherst caused an uproar last month after it banned Iranian students from its graduate science and engineering programs, but after the University changed its policy, a United States senator is asking why. The State Department spoke to UMass Amherst, saying it doesn't necessarily ban all Iranian students and allows some to study sciences, engineering in graduate programs.

The Institute of International Education released its annual Open Doors Report on study aboard, providing data on the last 13 years of United States college students furthering their education abroad. In 2012-13, the most recent year with data, 76.3 percent of students studying abroad were white, the lowest during the 13 years.



In solidarity with coach Jerome Allen, Penn basketball players wore Allen's No. 53 during pregame warmups and on the bench during the game.

For basketball fans everywhere, there are a few moments involving typical pregame clothing -- or lack thereof -- that have become poignant over the years. In the early 1990s, Michigan's celebrated Fab Five donned plain blue t-shirts instead of their customary warmup jackets to make a statement about the money the university made off their likeness.

If you are looking to major in computer science, Yale may not be the Ivy League school you are looking for. According to a Bloomberg report, Yale is lagging behind many comparable schools in funding and resources for computer science.



In what will likely be Penn women's basketball's final game at the Palestra this season, senior forward Kara Bonenberger suffered a knee injury late in the second half. Her status is unknown and Penn fell to Princeton, 55-42.

They're perfect for a reason. Penn women's basketball found that out the hard way...again. Despite a strong effort in the game's first 25 minutes and energized play from forwards Michelle Nwokedi and Sydney Stipanovich, the Red and Blue could not overcome a run from Princeton midway through the second half, falling, 55-42, in the teams' regular season finale.
