The 300 people who stopped by the Hall of Flags Friday for Mehfil-E-Ishq, or a Gathering of Love, experienced food and music co-hosted by the Penn Pakistan Society, the Penn Arab Student Society and the Penn Persian Society.

Three months into the new year, crime in the Penn Patrol Zone has been declining. This March, total crime went down three percent overall in comparison to March 2011.

Beginning next month until October, the Kelly Writers House will serve as a Community Supported Agriculture site host. CSA is a program developed in the last twenty years that links local farmers and consumers to provide fresh, local produce for the community.

The Undergraduate Assembly filled out the remainder of its executive board late Thursday night, with College sophomore Will Smith, College junior Jake Shuster and College freshman Joyce Kim winning internal elections for the positions of speaker, treasurer and secretary, respectively. Last night in Cohen Hall, around 20 students discussed the distinction between an online associate and a real-life friend at “Your Facebook is Showing,” the last event of Penn Mental Wellness Week.

After a 3-5 start, the Quakers are getting hot — they’ve won four of their last five games due, in no small part, to the squad cleaning up its act.

College junior Chris Cruz and Engineering sophomore Ibrahim Ayub hosted a general body meeting to relaunch Check One, a multiracial and multicultural organization that has not met for about a decade on Penn’s campus after being founded in 1995.

The University was ranked second in social media use among American and European universities in a recent study done by social media consulting firm Sociagility.
