“Common goals, common decency, common party — that’s what we’re trying to promote,” said College junior Nicole Rubin, one of the group’s leaders.

This event is the first of its kind that students have seen. It comes after four Penn students have died in the span of two months. 

While many professors have chosen to incorporate mental health resources into their syllabi, it is not mandated for them to do so. The UA is working with the Faculty Senate to change that. 

Ciccariello-Maher, an associate professor of politics and global studies, tweeted in December last year, “All I want for Christmas is white genocide,” causing a viral uproar. 

“We first needed to find out the personal situation of each of our faculty collaborators and their students, as well as the physical state of the university."

Penn Effective Altruism said they decided to host the biomedical gerontologist because his research "is not just the stuff of science fiction."

Engineering junior Johnathan Chen said he genuinely wants Amazon to set up its headquarters here, in part because he wants a job at the tech company. 

Justin Hamano, a third-year law student, had roles on Lambda Law and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

The Trump administration has placed several key aspects of the ACA at risk such as the ability for individuals to remain on their parents' health care plans until they reach the age of 26.

The event's star-studded guest list was a "major institutional statement in support of the LGBT community at Penn," said an alumni.

"When you get angry, you get sh*t done," said Phil Yu, the creator of the Asian-American news and culture blog Angry Asian Man. 

“If it happened on-campus, off-campus, abroad, none of that is relevant to me,” said Penn’s sexual violence investigative officer Deborah Harley.

College junior Kara Dang, who had over $1,000 of clothes stolen from her dorm, said the Harnwell College House's notification emails on the thefts haven't fully conveyed its severity. 

Speech/Acts, the current exhibition at the ICA, features the work of artists inspired by black experimental poetry.

This announcement comes after several recent changes in the University administration.

Dean of Admissions Eric Furda was on the organization's board of directors when it first received this legal complaint.
