It’s great to be gay at Penn, according to Newsweek, the publication that recently ranked Penn as the most gay-friendly college in the United States.

While gluten-free diets are one of the fastest-growing alimentary restrictions among students at Penn, as well as in the U.S., gluten-free food choices are still relatively difficult to find on campus.

In addition to starting their first college classes, getting to know their roommate and learning their way around Philadelphia, some freshmen began the year vying for spots on Penn’s dance teams.

The Kelly Writers House hosted a commemoration of the fifth-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina Monday evening by inviting four poets — professor Peter Cooley, his daughter Nicole Cooley, Cynthia Hogue and Tonya Foster — to read samples of their work and answer questions.
