In an email sent to members of the Psychology department, the department chair Sharon Thompson-Schill said Kurzban denied the allegations but decided to leave for the 'best interests' of the University. 

“We continue to be very troubled by the executive order, now upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, that prohibits travelers from seven countries from entering the United States, five of them majority-Muslim,” Gutmann said.

The CAPS website states that there are no Thursday evening hours from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. between May 17 and Aug. 23 and no Saturday hours between May 5 and Sep. 1. 

The announcement comes several months after the current Vice Provost and Director of Libraries Carton Rogers announced his retirement in Oct. 2017.
