Holahan comes to Penn from Georgetown, where she had worked as the Academic Director for the Institute for College Preparation, a pre-college program with a 30 year history supporting underrepresented first-generation low-income students in D.C.  

Eells was appointed to lead CAPS in January 2019 and started his term in March. Penn informed the community of the death Monday afternoon, but did not specify the cause of death.

Anthropology professor and Undergraduate Chair Katherine Moore said the new concentration was created because of interest from students and faculty in past years, amid the growing benefit of studying anthropology through an environmental lens.

Nguyen will assume a new role as executive director of Harvard University Health Services on Nov. 18, Chief Wellness Officer Benoit Dubé announced Thursday.  

Sadao will now be pursuing a book project on museums, an ICA press release said.

The policy, which was published in the Penn Almanac on Aug. 27, outlines the process for revoking any degree conferred at Penn. 

"The Committee was unanimous that Dean Fluharty has the vision, energy, skills, and broad support needed to thrive and succeed in a second term as Dean," Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Wendell Pritchett wrote in an email to the Penn Community. "We enthusiastically agree."

This agreement between the University and Penn Book Center comes after an extended effort to keep the store open.

Holmes is the first full-time coordinator of the FGLI Center since its creation in 2016. Her role  will include working with student groups such as Penn First, Questbridge Scholars, and FGLIQ.

Chief Wellness Officer Benoit Dubé said he hopes a new director can be selected and extended an offer within a month. 

This year’s cohort of recipients includes singer Jon Bon Jovi, Nobel Prize-winning doctor Denis Mukwege, animal rights and autism advocate Temple Grandin, astronomer Jill Tarter, and recently deceased Senator Richard Lugar.

Bolton, known around campus as “Rabbi Josh,” has been at Penn Hillel for eight years.

The Basser Center’s work helps to prevent the development of BRCA mutations — the phenomena which make a person more susceptible to certain cancers, including breast, ovarian, prostate and pancreatic cancer. 

Stewart, who was 80 when he died, joined the Penn community in 1970 and had several roles during his time in the school. 

The Kleinman Center currently supports energy policy research on topics ranging from carbon taxes to aviation.

Gutmann's Power of Penn Campaign launched in 2013 and followed her first fundraising campaign, Making History, which raised $4.3 billion. 

The Richard Lichter Emergency Room is located on campus at the Ryan Hospital, which serves more than 36,000 patients annually, such as cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles.
