Volunteer efforts draw outpouring of support
This summer, I decided that I would like this Sept. 11 to be meaningless. I came to this conclusion after a dinner I had with two complete strangers in a restaurant called "Meat Me" in Ashkelon, Israel. I was working in Israel as a volunteer firefighter and had met the couple at the beach on a day off.
Seniors preparing for life after Penn have a lot of planning to do -- and Career Services is here to help. Yesterday, its staff began a series of seminars designed to guide students through the process of on-campus recruiting. This year things will be a little bit different, as the recruiting process is starting earlier, and students no longer have to "bid" to show their interest in interviews.
