Disorderly Conduct
n Sept. 2 -- Police received a disorderly-conduct complaint from the Fresh Grocer, located at 4001 Walnut St., after patrons reportedly witnessed a man urinating onto a table. When police arrived, they arrested Augustus Schorr, 63, for disorderly conduct in connection with the offense. The suspect is not affiliated with Penn.
Theft
n Sept. 1 -- A female Penn student reported that a stereo, valued at $250, was stolen from her locked 1997 Volkswagen Jetta while it was parked near 100 S. 41st St. between 7 p.m. Aug. 31 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 1. Police have not made any arrests in the case.
n Sept. 1 -- A male Penn student reported that his Dell laptop computer, valued at $1,500, was taken from his residence at 318 S. 40th St. between Aug. 16 and Aug. 31. Police have not made any arrests in the case.
n Sept. 2 -- A male Penn student reported to police that a stereo, valued at $390, was taken from his locked 1996 Ford Explorer while it was parked near 4208 Walnut St. at about 3:15 p.m. Police have made no arrests in connection with the incident.
n Sept. 4 -- A male Penn student reported the theft of a silver and green Marin mountain bike, valued at $360, from the bike rack at DuBois College House, located at 3900 Walnut St. The theft occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. No arrests have been made in the case.
n Sept. 6 -- A male Penn staff member reported the theft of a black Cannondale mountain bike, worth $900, from the bike rack on the west side of the Pottruck Health and Fitness Center, located at 3701 Walnut St. The theft occurred between 10:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. No arrests have been made in the case.
Fraud
n Aug. 31 -- Police responded to the Penne Restaurant and Wine Bar in the Inn at Penn, located at 3600 Walnut St., after receiving a report that a patron attempted to pose as a hotel guest in order to charge his restaurant bill of $22.45 to a room account. Police arrested Jamal Tinsley, 35, at the scene. The suspect, who is not affiliated with the University, was charged with fraud.
