Fall 2013 Undergraduate Assembly Elections

Fineman’s talk on Tuesday evening at the Kelly Writers House addressed criticisms of modern journalism and its impact on American politics. His public lecture was also the third session is a three-part mini-course Fineman taught at the Writers House this fall.


Though senior football players Josh Powers and Jared Mollenbeck were honored with ESPN First-Team Academic All-District honors earlier this month, the accomplishments of the Quakers over the past four years are much more significant to them.

After his team clinched a share of the Ivy title, Penn coach Al Bagnoli took time to reflect on the directions this season could have taken following the loss of Owen Thomas last spring.

Soccer nabs NCAA bid

After tensely waiting for its bid to the NCAA tournament, the men's soccer team learned that it will host Bucknell at Rhodes Field on Thursday.

Both fencing teams met with relative success in State College, Pa., with three Penn men earning top-seven finishes and five members of the women’s team placing in the top 20 in their respective weapons.

After tying the 141-pound weight-class championship match at the end of regulation, senior Zack Kemmerer rallied in the second overtime to capture first place at the Binghamton Open, capping a successful day for the wrestling team.

It’s crucial the Penn community come together and figure out policies and initiatives that will reduce binge drinking. The fact that the Interfraternity Council is working to tackle this problem is a good start.
