Penn’s yield this year increased about one percentage point to 64.3 percent, the highest since 2007. Of the 3,785 applicants admitted this admissions cycle, 2,432 have already indicated their intention to enroll, surpassing the school’s target class of 2,420, Dean of Admissions Eric Furda said.

I have been watching with keen interest, the unfolding of events subsequent to the “Wharton snub” and the explications of various viewpoints around the “Freedom of Speech” debate. One such piece is an article by Penn professor Saswati Sarkar that was published on NitiCentral on April 27, 2013. I went over her views with interest and want to share with you why I think her claim of “Truth was told” is not true.

On the second day of the 119th running of the Penn Relays, the sun shone, heroes rose to the occasion, records shattered, and a champion fell. And through it all, the host Penn track team tried to make itself heard amidst the noise.

The women shone the brightest for Penn track and field on the first day of the Penn Relays. The field events were the most successful for the Quakers on Friday, with several record-setting performances by throwers, who continued their stellar seasons.
