In the past, graduate student misconduct claims were handled by deans of the accuser’s school, which students said slowed responses to claims.

Jackson, who served as dean of Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice before taking on the new role, took office Jan. 1.

King will oversee Career Services, Civic House, NROTC, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Office of Student Affairs, and Platt Student Performing Arts House.

Jane Coyle Morris will replace Harriet Joseph, who served as CURF's executive director from 2008 until her retirement in 2018.

While administrators say they are making efforts to reduce noise when construction starts on Dec. 3, students are still worried they will be unable to study in their buildings.

In the email sent to Du Bois and Rodin residents, University administrators said students will hear "intermittent noise" from construction from Dec. 3 through finals week. 

The National Coalition For Men has filed similar complaints against other universities, and there is no evidence the complaint will result in any consequences for Penn. 

As their first semester in the UA leadership wraps up, Krone and Andrews have zeroed in on improving transparency between the UA and the student body. 

The re-loadable debit card system will be used for Thanksgiving, winter, and spring break for this academic year.
