Just over a month ago, the undergraduates voted whether Penn should divest from fossil fuels, and an overwhelming 87.8 percent of participants voted yes.

In the context of psychological research on identity development, the concept of gendered race is relatively new. Gender and race are also not the only aspects of identity that overlap. Issues of ethnicity, class and sexuality among others all significantly affect the way one acts and is perceived.

According to a survey by Higher One, a financial aid company, and EverFi, and education technology company, college students are becoming worse at managing their finances. The survey found that in the past three years, students have become less likely to follow budgets, pay credit card bills on time and in full and save money.

While undergraduates are busy biting hats on Hey Day, jumping in bouncy castles during Fling, or banding together to scream the night before the first economics midterm, graduate students live in a different world.

A Columbia student was arrested on April 2 after his Venmo record revealed he had been using the service to accept payments for drugs, reports Capital New York. Michael Getzler, the alleged dealer, required the Venmo transaction descriptions "to be funny." Descriptions to Venmo payments made to him included "Halal or something funny," "Kale salad" and "Snoop Dogg's shizzle." Two days before the arrest, an anonymous op-ed titled "Confessions of a departing dealer," that ran in the Columbia Spectator was rumored to have been written by Getzler.

Parents of public school students can call the The School Discipline Advocacy Service which pairs law students from Penn, Temple and Drexel University to act as pro-bono advocates to help them wade through the disciplinary process in the school district.
