You don't usually hear about the American flag getting banned from any part of an American University. But that's exactly what happened at the California Irvine this week, as the student government of the University banned the American flag from its lobby after a vote that narrowly passed. The resolution said that the flag can symbolize America's “exceptionalism and superiority," and can be seen as hate speech.
