For as long as some players can remember summer has meant softball. The group — made up of players of varying ages, genders and skill levels — plays as part of Penn Recreation’s Summer Softball League.

Grant to fund nutrition

In a press conference held Wednesday, members of the Netter Center announced a three-year $900,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and the Office of Minority Health to fund Growing Together, a new nutrition-focused internship program.
