College Republicans, Government and Politics Association, and Penn Democrats are preparing for the buildup to the 2020 elections. 

The app was initially envisioned by Wharton junior and UA Wharton representative John Casey, who was motivated by his own experiences to improve the club recruitment process.

Penn Book Center owners sent out an email on May 24 notifying community members that they reached an agreement with the University to stay open through the summer.

Although the high rise field is now closed off for the construction of New College House West, Penn's record-breaking $163 million new dorm, Class Board leaders said it will not affect the long standing tradition.

At noon, people gathered in front of the Button for the first day of the week-long protest, which calls on Penn to help save the bookstore.

At the event, nine graduating seniors talked about failures, insecurities, and adversities they have faced at Penn. The event was hosted by student group The Signal. 

The Penn activist groups distributed flyers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. around locations near Irvine Auditorium, Houston Hall and on Locust Walk. Meanwhile, a teach-in occurred at noon at the Perelman Quadrangle steps. 

On April 8, store owners Ashley Montague and Michael Row announced that Penn Book Center will shut its doors after nearly 60 years of business. 

An all-time high of $2,647,878.64 will be allocated to UA funded groups — which include the other five branches of student government, Medical Emergency Response Team, and Penn Labs — for the upcoming academic year.

 SHS will provide free booster vaccines to Penn's at-risk students. 

Students can opt not to receive the vaccine if it threatens their health or if their religious or philosophical beliefs prohibit immunizations.

Many universities chose performers who are traditionally underrepresented in the music industry, including female artists and artists of color. 

As of April 9, three Penn students have been diagnosed with mumps. To avoid catching the contagious disease, Student Health Service Director Giang Nguyen urges students to avoid sharing vaping products, drinks, and food, as mumps spreads through saliva.

If legalized, electric scooters could represent a fun and safe mode of transportation that alleviates Philadelphia's congestion problem, Engineering professor and transportation expert Megan Ryerson said.

Sal Caputo, director of Facilities Management for Van Pelt, said that the renovation will include new carpeting, paint, soft furniture, and a rewiring of the electrical system.
