Penn women's basketball juniors and seniors have been suspended for four games each this season, Penn Athletics announced Monday afternoon.

The initiative was led by GAPSA's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Leadership Council and took place in Houston Hall on Nov. 5 and 6. 

The study finds many racial and ethnic groups still remain underrepresented in surgical faculty, which correlates with an underrepresentation in medical students.

The award honors innovators in three categories: PreK-12 Education, Higher Education, and Learning Science Research, who have dedicated themselves to improving education and students’ lives. 

The festival was organized by students from Penn and Swarthmore College who belong to C4, a college-level branch of Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living.

This Saturday, both Penn men’s and women’s basketball took the court at the Palestra for the annual Red & Blue scrimmages.
