A 21-year-old male was struck and killed around 1 p.m. Monday by a SEPTA Market-Frankford Line train at 34th Street Station.
SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams said that the incident is still under investigation, but is under review as a possible suicide.
The individual has not yet been identified by Philadelphia police.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office will not release the name of the individual until Tuesday.
While the accident took place between the campuses of Penn and Drexel University, “we have no information at this time to indicate he was a student,” Williams said.
