The College announced today that R&B; singer and songwriter John Legend will speak at the school's 2009 graduation ceremony.
A '99 College alumnus, Legend has won six Grammy awards, including Best New Artist in 2005.
During his time at Penn, Legend - known by his given name, John Stephens -ÿwas an English major and sang with jazz and pop a cappella group Counterparts.
The College graduation ceremony will take place May 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Franklin Field.
