As Penn women's soccer attempts to improve on a successful 2021 campaign, four senior captains hope to lead the charge.

Most people only have one or a couple of professions in their lifetime, but Edmund Michael Burke bounced from job title to job title across his 71-year life.

In the quest for the team's first Ivy League title since 2016, Penn will be led by four captains, who are all seniors.

The Quakers open the season against Colgate, a team that heavily favors the run on offense, where Penn struggled last season.

Penn is one of the few medical schools in the country that provide a robust, four-year curriculum on palliative care.

The Penn Women’s Center plans to have a permanent director by the end of the semester after Sherisse Laud-Hammond left last semester. 

The committee was announced Tuesday and consists of 20 students, professors, and staff from across Penn.

The kickoff event was invitation-only and allowed student leaders across all twelve professional and graduate schools to meet each other and talk with administration.

Last March, the Penn Board of Trustees agreed to increase tuition to $81,340 in the 2022-23 school year, up 2.9% from $79,014 in the 2021-22 school year.

Several students shared their thoughts about the importance of the center, while others held up signs with messages like “No Funding = Loss of Culture Scholarship Discourse” and “The MEC is our Community”.

Though Penn had a couple of high-performing groups, most aspects of the 2021 Quakers fell below their Ivy League counterparts.

There have been no cases at Penn this semester and the risk of an outbreak on campus remains “extremely low,” according to Penn Public Health and Wellbeing.

The lecture series will take place on Sept. 14, starting at noon at the Benjamin Franklin statue in front of College Hall.

The event will take place in Houston Hall from noon to 1 p.m. and will host a Penn epidemiologist and a medical provider from Student Health and Counseling.

Starting in fall 2023, all eligible students at Princeton University will be exempt from paying all college-related expenses, including room and board.

Miller comes to Penn from Princeton University, where she spent four years as the associate dean for access, diversity, and inclusion at Princeton Graduate School.
