PennDems made a strong emotional plea for what they called “sensible and meaningful gun control legislation.” That is why I was so disappointed to see the same old, tired suggestions: ban “military-style” weapons and restrict magazine size.


Softball isn’t always considered a banner sport, not drawing the massive crowds that football and basketball do perennially. But the Quakers have shown this year that they are no ordinary Ivy team.

The liquor store at 43rd and Chestnut streets is set to open in just a few months. Barry Grossbach, chair of the Spruce Hill Community Trust expects the “premium” Wine and Spirits Shop to be open sometime in late summer, if not before.

After three weeks of public campaigning, the workers behind the Justice on the Menu campaign are making a decisive push towards unionizing. Today the Teamsters Union announced that 15 full-time employees at Hillel’s Falk Dining Commons will be voting on possible representation.

Administrators agree that while there is still much progress to be made, their efforts to increase the number of underrepresented minority graduate students across the University have been successful.

I don’t understand why it’s laughable that girls want to hang out with a bunch of other girls and drink and not get dressed up and just chill. That sounds a lot like bro culture to me, but no one writes articles blaming bros for declining marriage rates.
