On Friday, Pakathon, a Pakistan oriented hackathon, began its second annual startup weekend with teams in 16 cities across North America and Pakistan. During the three day conference, groups of students worked to create technological solutions to problems in Pakistan.

It was hard adjusting to Penn. After two weeks, I was set on going home. I had decided that Penn wasn’t worth it. I didn’t want to be Americanized. I wanted to stay true to my identity. I wanted to go back home to Lebanon.

Following the first home football game of the season, the Penn community headed to Penn Park for Skimmerfest, a celebration put on by the Class Boards and SPEC. The festival featured free food from various vendors, laser tag, carnival games, as well as a live performance by rapper Shwayze.
The Red and Blue played a Saturday matinee against Harvard at Ellen Vagelos Field and took down the Crimson for Penn’s first Ivy victory, 4-1.
