Robbery May 1 ­— A male cab driver reported at about 11:30 p.m. that while driving his cab on the 3600 block of Market Street, someone displayed a handgun and attempted to forcibly take his vehicle. Assault May 2 — A 16-year-old boy unaffiliated with Penn reported at about 9 p.m.

Wharton junior Owen Thomas’ funeral service was held Monday morning at the Union United Church of Christ in Neffs, Pa. The church was filled beyond capacity.

Penn held on 9-8 to win the tournament and clinch its fourth consecutive automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Quakers will wait until May 9 to receive their first-round draw for the NCAAs.






Quakers host inaugural Ivy tourney

Although the Penn women’s lacrosse team will host the inaugural Ivy League Tournament at Franklin Field this weekend, the No. 6 Quakers have little to gain and a lot to lose after amassing a perfect conference record.
