Trustee Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Applied Science and Director of the University of Pennsylvania Nano/Bio Interface Center Dawn Bonnell was appointed Vice Provost for Research today.



	Incoming Wharton undergraduates will receive access to a Google Apps account from Wharton Computing, as opposed to the Microsoft Outlook accounts that are currently provided to Wharton students.

Starting this year, Wharton students will have the option to access their emails directly through Google@Wharton accounts rather than through the on-premise Microsoft Exchange server that Wharton students currently use.

Although dozens of pre-meds return to campus or go to other institutions to work as research assistants during the summer months, medical schools do not require summer research and many Penn students seek alternative summer employment — like working in a summer camp.

	2000 College graduate Jeremy Shure was running on Sunday in the ODDyssey half marathon in honor of his friend, 2001 College graduate Ari Johnson, who committed suicide earlier this year.

On Sunday, Penn alumni ran in the ODDyssey half marathon in honor of their friend, 2001 College graduate Ari Johnson, who committed suicide in February of this year. Team Ari raised over $65,000 for Active Minds, a mental health organization located on college campuses across the country.

Joe Dey was there 83 years ago when historic golfer Bobby Jones took to Merion Golf Club, just miles outside of Philadelphia, to win the U.S. Amateur title, completing the only Grand Slam in golf history.
