The arrest of the Philadelphia native has sparked a nation-wide discussion on the criminal justice system. 

On Nov. 17, a woman affiliated with Penn reported that someone had used her credit card without permission in Rodin College House.  

A student at Gloucester County Community College in New Jersey was visiting his girlfriend, a 22-year-old student at Drexel University, when he was shot by a stranger.

David R. Marchant has been charged for making “derogatory, sex-based slurs and sexual comments” to Jane Willenbring, a former associate professor at Penn. 

Police told Fox News that the woman walked into the bank with her walker and pulled out a revolver before demanding $400 from employees. 

University administrators have been looking into six counts of hazing, allegations of drugging, and purported instances of sexual misconduct perpetrated by Michigan fraternity members. 

“To everyone who has been harassed or abused at Berklee, I am so sorry,”  Berklee College of Music President Roger Brown said. “I apologize for this institution. It’s unacceptable."

On the night of Nov. 3, it was reported that three people left Copabanana without paying for their meals.   

According to the Division of Public Safety, the student surrendered his bag and the two suspects fled east on Walnut Street. 

On Oct. 28, Penn Police arrested a man affiliated to Penn at Hill College House for underage drinking and issued him a citation.  

An Engineering sophomore, who has collected approximately 200 illegally download films on his computer, received a warning email but did not face further repercussions. 

“There have been documented instances of bureaucratic and judicial corruption, dangerous and unhealthy living conditions, and human rights violations in many of these facilities." 

“We are the largest private police department; we are larger than Princeton, we are larger than Yale, but we are the lowest paid,” Penn Police Association President Eric Rohrback said. 

The woman who punched Nursing sophomore Heidi Chiu was taken into custody by Penn Police officers.

“Sleep problems have previously been associated with increased antisocial and criminal behavior, so we were surprised to find that increased sleep was associated with increased offending,” one researcher said. 

“In a weird way it was flattering, that they would go to the trouble to hack a student website at Penn,” College sophomore Ethan Woolley said. 

On Oct. 20, a man affiliated to Penn reported that someone struck him in the back of the head near the intersection of 38th and Sansom Streets.
