The walkout and protest was held in response to Fierceton’s two-year-long dispute with University administrators to recognize her first-generation, low-income status as a survivor of sexual abuse and the American foster care system.

Chief Wellness Officer Benoit Dubé told The Daily Pennsylvanian that the decision to reinstall the indoor mask mandate is simply a response to a trend.

Fierceton recently re-emerged in the national spotlight following a feature in The New Yorker that detailed the story of her history of abuse and investigation by Penn and the Rhodes Trust.

Executive Director for Public Health and Wellbeing Ashlee Halbritter also said that Penn is preparing an isolation housing portfolio expansion by using additional University-owned properties and apartments.

The event aimed to give students an opportunity to discuss their mental health in a supportive environment and decompress from the strain of daily life at Penn.

Two elevators and a Limited-Use-Limited-Application lift will be installed in the Quad. Stouffer will become newly accessible with reconstructed entrances, elevators and ramps to the dorm. 

The Garden Jams series consists of three performances — each from a different live band in the Penn Music Department.

The event, which has been virtual since 2019 due to COVID-19, was held starting 5 p.m. in the Graduate School of Education tent and featured a rally followed by a survivors' vigil.

The Nominations & Elections Committee announced the results of the recent election on April 9.

Quaker Days will have sessions for admitted students on five days between April 11 and 19. Campus visits include information sessions and a campus tour led by the Kite and Key Society.

Sleep Well hosts the seven-week “Refresh” program, and under Sex Well, students can enroll in a six-week “Penn’s Declassified Sex Survival Guide” program. 

The Daily Pennsylvanian spoke with the seven cultural centers at Penn to find out how they will be celebrating graduating students this spring.

Around 55,000 students applied to Penn this year through both Early and Regular Decision, and around 2,400 students are expected to make up the incoming first-year class. 

The group set up six different Spikeball nets out on the grass for the event, which cost $5 to register for. 

All first years will arrive on Aug. 21 and participate in a campus-wide orientation before splitting into smaller groups and heading off to their individualized pre-orientation programs, which will conclude prior to the start of classes.

The restaurant will close its doors on April 17. The restaurant block is expected to be rebuilt into a new high-tech office and lab space in early 2023. 

Cheat Codes and Flo Milli will headline the concert, which will take place in Penn Park Friday at 8 p.m. This year's concert will be the first to be held in person since 2019.
