Two members of a Syracuse fraternity have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor hazing after a pledge experienced frostbite in both hands during an outdoor hazing incident.

The incident occurred last Saturday as pledges of Nu Alpha Phi were forced to do exercises in a park at night while not wearing gloves. According to Syracuse police, the exercises included push-ups and crawling through the snow.

The pledge was treated on Sunday for frostbite and may lose both the ring and pinkie fingers on each of his hands. Police arrested the two members of the fraternity, Tae Kim and Jeffrey Yam, on Wednesday. The frat has been suspended by Syracuse.
