Harvard bans professors from sex with undergrads

Things are about to get decidedly less kinky in Cambridge for professors on the prowl...

Harvard has officially banned romantic relationships between professors and undergraduates after previously just banning professors from having sexual relationships with student they taught. The ban applies to Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences and also bans relationships between those faculty members and graduate students they teach or supervise.

“Undergraduates come to college to learn from us,” Harvard history professor Alison Johnson said to Bloomberg. “We’re not here to have sexual or romantic relationships with them.”

Yale made a similar ban of romantic relationships between professors and students in 2010 and the University of Connecticut did the same in 2013.
