Penn School of Design student receives National Italian American Foundation scholarship

Penn Graduate School of Design student Matt DiScenna has been awarded a scholarship by the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), according to a press release from the foundation.

DiScenna received the Raffaele DeRitis Scholarship. He is currently working towards a master's degree in city planning.

The press release says that the "NIAF scholarship winners are selected based on academic merit and are academically outstanding with an average GPA of 3.95."

""Since 1975, NIAF has awarded millions of dollars in merit-based scholarships and grants across the country. The high quality of our scholarship recipients and their admirable achievements is a direct reflection of the value we Italian Americans place on the importance of education," NIAF Director of Programs Gabriella Mileti said in the release.
