Wharton professors discuss massive open online courses and future of MBA programs

Two Wharton professors Christian Terwiesch and Karl Ulrich discussed what massive open online courses mean for the future of MBA programs. 

The courses offer students a significantly shorter time commitment and cost less than traditional MBA programs. The two professors have created some of the first business school massive open online courses.They warned that what they call "SuperText," online videos and content that serve the same purpose as textbooks, threatens to undermine traditional two year MBA programs, but they also said that business schools can utilize the same technology to their advantages.
