Front Row View Penn vs. Yale

The SituationThe Situation3rd-and-goal, Penn ball on the Yale 7. The Execution Penn quarterback Tom MacLeod (1) found tailback Jasen Scott (2) open in the flat coming out of the backfield. MacLeod hit Scott three yards past the line of scrimmage, and Scott took it into the end zone from there. The Impact Since the Penn defense managed to hold the Elis to a single field goal, Scott's seven-yard touchdown reception held up to be the winning score in the Quakers' first Ivy League victory of the season. The play also marked a change in offensive strategy by Penn, which had only completed one pass to a running back through the first five games. In the past two games, MacLeod has completed nine passes to his running backs. With leading receiver Mark Fabish sidelined, Scott led the team with five receptions.
