To the Editor: I have been a loyal customer since the early 1980s when it was called Houston Hall Records, and Smith was contemplating junior high school. None of Smith's rambling accusations ring true with me. Perhaps Smith has not noticed this University is located in a large, exciting and often dangerous city -- any Philadelphia retailer in his right mind identifies high-theft merchandise and takes reasonable action to protect that merchandise. Such reasonable protection is not racism. It is Mr. Smith who identifies potential thieves as black, not Discovery Discs part-owner Richard Moskowitz. Who is the racist?
