LETTER: Nobody's Perfect

To the Editor: Normally, we would feel the need to list the reasons substantiating our anger. However, this is a different story. The sheer idiocy of Jones' views need not be mentioned. We hope that nobody in his or her right mind will take the view of this man seriously. It is very disappointing to know that any organization on this campus would host a platform to promote such rampant racism. What would be the response if David Duke was invited to speak on College Green? We know that the DuBois College House has recently come under fire from many parties. In response, many of the residents have claimed that DuBois is not separatist and was founded so that students could learn about African-American culture. These same residents also invited students of other races to live with them in the DuBois House. How does such an obvious display of racism and separatism promote racial integration on this campus? We have one more question to ask. Why would the DP waste its valuable time and effort publishing the views of such an ignoramus? The consensus among us, as well as many other angry students, is that Del Jones is a perfect asshole. However, long ago our fathers taught us that nobody's perfect.
