Burglar steals VCR from campus frat

The Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house at 3619 Locust Walk was burglarized yesterday morning at 2:15 a.m., University Police said yesterday. University Police Lieutenant Jerry Leddy said that the burglar entered the building through front windows left open on the first floor. Leddy said that the burglar went to the second floor and took a VCR. Nothing else was taken, according to the University Police report. Leddy said that a student reported the burglary to police at 2:47 a.m. The police do not have any suspects in the burglary at this time. In an unrelated incident, a burglary occurred last night in the Law School Building at 3400 Sansom Street, University Police said yesterday. Leddy said that a window was left open on the east side of the building and that the burglar entered through the open window. The burlgar stole a blank check from one of the offices in the building, Leddy said. Police did not make any arrests in correlation with the burglary case. In another unrelated incident, a Fairfax Apartment on 43rd and Locust streets was burglarized overnight yesterday, University Police said yesterday. The burglar entered the apartment by force, according to the University Police report. Leddy said that the burglar took camera equipment that he found in the apartment. The police do not have any suspects in correlation with the case at the present time. In another unrelated incident, a male student was arrested by University police after stealing a police barricade on the 4000 block of Locust Street yesterday around 4 p.m., University Police said yesterday. The student took the barricade and ran from police, Leddy said yesterday. University Police pursued the student and quickly caught him. University Police referred the case to the Judical Inquiry Officer to be reviewed.
