Lee's death occurred in her Mayer Hall apartment sometime before 7:30 p.m. Monday, when Lee's concerned husband called University Police asking that officers check on his wife, Police Commissioner John Kuprevich said Wednesday. Within moments, officers arrived at Mayer, where the 26-year-old doctoral student lived alone, Kuprevich said. When no one answered the door, a resident advisor opened the door for officers, who found Lee's body inside. -- Scott Calvert
