The conferences theme, "Shaping Our Society," focuses on how Asians Americans can promote positive social change. It will include seminars and speakers from political and legal fields. Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lynn Yeakel will be speaking at 10:30 p.m. today and Republican U.S. Senator Arlen Specter is scheduled to speak at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow. Both will be speaking on "Leading the Nation. Federal Programs and Policies: The Record, the Future and the Role of Asian Americans." The conference is being hosted at the Philadellphia Korean Church at 5842-58 Hoffman Avenue and admission is free, Huang added. -- Stephen Glass
