In what is apparently supposed to be a news article, the DP writes that Oliver Stone's JFK "debunks" the single-bullet theory of the Kennedy assassination first developed by Arlen Specter. Oh, really? Debunks? How about, "tries pathetically to disprove in a way that could not convince anyone who has even a passing familiarity with the evidence," or, if you're looking for a more neutral word, "disputes." Anything but "debunks." AVINOAM FREEDMAN College '94
