University Police arrested a man carrying a large knife on the second floor of the Furness building at 4:54 p.m. Sunday, Lieutenant Jerry Leddy said yesterday. After taking the man to UPPD headquarters, police discovered the man is wanted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for a felony warrant. Police then transported the man to the Philadelphia Warrants Division for processing, after which he was incarcerated in the Police Administration Building of the Philadelphia Police Department. In an unrelated incident, University Police officers arrested a male University student for disorderly conduct at the 7-11 convenience store at 42nd and Walnut streets at 4:09 p.m. Sunday. The student reportedly became violent and threatening after being asked to leave the area by employees at the 7-11 and later by UPPD officers. In another unrelated incident, police reported the theft of a 1987-model Ford automobile from 36th and Walnut streets at 7:57 p.m. Sunday. - Adam Heilman
