The Penn Environmental Group hosted its biannual Greenfest in Wynn Commons to celebrate Penn’s fourth annual Green Week.
Last night, members of the Philadelphia and Penn community learned about hip-hop from one of the masters of the trade.The Center for Africana Studies Undergraduate Advisory Board brought Grammy Award-winning producer, artist and scholar Patrick Douthit — better known as 9th Wonder — to speak at the Annenberg School about the history of contemporary hip-hop music and its influence on his life.
Last evening, The WALK held a launch party for the release of its winter issue at the Psi Upsilon fraternity house, better known as Castle. The night was filled with different activities including a miniature fashion show, a red carpet-style photo booth and raffles for gift certificates for stores like H&M, Macy’s and Sweetgreen.
West’s appearance at Penn began with a Skype interview with critical writing seminar instructor Christopher Phillips.
The pieces in the exhibition ranged from abstract metal sculptures and pottery to portraits, landscapes and photographs.
