Due to the coronavirus outbreak and Philadelphia's indefinite stay-at-home order, Penn will conduct most summer academic sessions remotely. 

As a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the NCAA Division I Council voted on Monday to grant spring-sport athletes an extension of their eligibility period. 

Last week, former Senate staffer Tara Reade alleged that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her when she worked in his senate office in 1993. The Biden campaign denied the allegation.

The UA-administered survey, conducted from March 20 to March 30, garnered responses from 944 students across all four undergraduate schools, according to the report. 

Hahnemann University Hospital closed in September 2019 when owner Joel Freedman requested the city $1 million a month for rent. The hospital will remain closed and unable to treat coronavirus patients.

Construction of the HUP Pavilion building has been accelerated to complete 120 new patient rooms by mid-April in order to accommodate increasing demands for medical resources amidst the outbreak.

In light of the coronavirus outbreak, five Ivy League schools — including Penn — have implemented an opt-in pass/fail policy, while three are mandatory pass/fail.

Harvard University, Stanford University, and Columbia University have established policies that make all classes graded on a pass/fail, pass/no credit, or satisfactory/no credit basis.

Students commended the school's transparency in the decision-making process and thanked the school for listening to student opinion before making a final decision. 

Students praised the lecture, which analyzed policies intended to combat the coronavirus and their economic impacts, for its interdisciplinary approach.
