Defensive coordinator Ray Priore understands that Lafayette presents a completely different challenge than did Villanova. He’s confident that Penn (0-1) will be able to make the necessary adjustments when it takes on the Leopards (1-1) in Easton, Pa., tomorrow evening.

George Smith, who graduated from the University in 1955, was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize for Physics Tuesday. He received the award with two fellow researchers.

For over 90 minutes yesterday, Penn men’s soccer was deadlocked with Temple at one goal apiece. The Owls emerged with a 2-1 double-overtime victory in Ambler, Pa.

September 27 — Robert Hall, 19, unaffiliated with the University and of the 5200 block of N. Carlisle Street, was arrested at about 3 p.m. for allegedly becoming combative with a female University employee.
