This year's hackathon was titled “Build Your AI for Education Tool & Solve the Prompt Hacking Challenge" and invited competitors to combine “innovation, technical skill, and a dash of creativity.” 

The Penn AI launch event offered insight into the growing use of AI in research as well as the need for Penn to keep up with technological advancements.

The PASS initiative, which is being developed in partnership with Catalyst @ Penn GSE, aims to equip educators and administrators with the tools and knowledge necessary to integrate AI into schools. 

The initiative aims to ensure that technological advancement serves humanity's best interests.

Launched in April 2024, Finiverse is a free app that provides a comprehensive breakdown of the total cost of attending individual colleges.

The center will will aid computational and data-driven research through hardware, software, system support, and research consulting services, with the goal of advancing Penn’s research community, according to the announcement. 

The consortium brings together hundreds of organizations, consumers, leading specialists in the industry, and researchers to make sure that AI can be used effectively and efficiently.

This funding, provided through the NIH’s Somatic Cell Genome Editing Program, will support gene-editing research aimed at developing treatments for rare metabolic diseases.

Institutions in Ghana, Spain, India, Kazakhstan, Colombia, and Qatar will contribute to the consortium in addition to Penn. 

According to Penn Information Systems and Computing, 57 campus spaces between 31st Street and 38th Street experienced issues with their connection.
