This weekend, Penn wrestling walked away on top, splitting a doubleheader with Columbia and Cornell on Saturday and placing second in the Warriors Winter Open on Sunday. 

Despite many fraternities’ cult-like efforts to keep pledging under wraps to avoid prosecution, most Penn students have heard accounts from pledges about sleepless nights, humiliating activities, and servant-type orders from pledge masters.

Throughout the entire journey, from hopping onto a packed trolley car to emerging aboveground through the beautiful glass head house of Dilworth Park, I feel completely immersed in the Philadelphia community.

On Sunday, Penn’s men fencing secured a share of a third consecutive title at the 2018 Ivy League Championships. Penn shares its 17th overall title with Harvard and Columbia, after the three teams recorded identical 4-1 records against the rest of the league.

This weekend, victories against the Big Red were followed by two nail-biting 5-4 losses to Columbia. 

Penn's Vice Provost of Global Initiatives  Ezekiel Emmanuel will receive the one-million dollar prize at an award ceremony being held at Tel Aviv University on May 6.  

Sarah Hughes, a Penn Law Student and former Olympic skater, is in South Korea after being  nominated to the Presidential Delegation for the Winter Olympics.  

Nwokedi was simply outstanding. The senior set a new career high with 30 points, and was able to eclipse her previous career high in the first half alone.

On Sunday afternoon, Penn gymnastics hit its season high score in its Senior Meet, beating out its previous high earned last week at Cornell by more than a full point. Among the highlights for the Red and Blue was a combined score of 49.300 on floor, tying a school record last set in 2003, as the Quakers ultimately took third place in the contest.

A Faculty Inclusion Report reported that in 2016 women made up 18.6 percent of the Engineering faculty, but current data indicates it has dropped to 16.7 percent.
